Charis Old Folks Home
Purpose
To provide a comfortable place to live, nutritious diet and regular care to the old folks sothey may live their old age in dignity.
Charis Old Folks Home was founded on 9th April 1998. It is an outreach ministry by Charis Church to serve the old folks in the community who are left without family members to care for them. In 2003, Charis Old Folks Home is registered under the government’s Registry of Societies (ROS) as Persatuan Kebajikan Charis Cheras, Selangor (Reg. No. PPM-003-10-19032003).
At the end of June 2013, we moved from Hulu Langat, Cheras to Mantin, a small town in Negeri Sembilan. In October 2013, we have successfully registered our organisation under the Negeri Sembilan Registry of Societies (ROS) as Pertubuhan Kebajikan Amal Charis Mantin Negeri Sembilan (Reg. No. PPM-004-05-16102013).
We are a charitable welfare organisation and we do not charge any fees for our services. we are currently serving 21 old folks: 11 men and 10 women. Our target groups are the single and childless old folks. We provide them with medicines and medical care, regular nutritious diet, counseling sessions as well as a comfortable accommodation.
At the same time, Charis Old Folks Home looks forward to have a place of our own, so that we do not have to be distressed over relocation whenever the number of people increases. We hope that there will be more enthusiastic volunteers who are willing to serve the elderly together with us, as well as enthusiastic people who can give generously to support us.
We welcome your participation in our old folks sponsorship program, please call us for more information.
