Charis Old Folks Home was founded on 9th April 1998. It is an outreach ministry by Charis Church to serve the old folks in the community who are left without family members to care for them. In 2003, Charis Old Folks Home is registered under the government’s Registry of Societies (ROS) as Persatuan Kebajikan Charis Cheras, Selangor (Reg. No. PPM-003-10-19032003).

At the end of June 2013, we moved from Hulu Langat, Cheras to Mantin, a small town in Negeri Sembilan. In October 2013, we have successfully registered our organisation under the Negeri Sembilan Registry of Societies (ROS) as Pertubuhan Kebajikan Amal Charis Mantin Negeri Sembilan (Reg. No. PPM-004-05-16102013).

Our institution is a registered non-profit charitable organization, licensed by Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Malaysia (License No.: N/PJB WT 07/2022). In September 2019, we successfully obtained approval from the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN Ref: 01/35/42/51/179-6.8488), making all donations contributed by donors eligible for tax exemptions.

We are providing FREE SERVICES with the aim of offering shelter and compassionate care to destitute elderly individuals. We serve disadvantaged communities, including abandoned and needy senior citizens, by delivering medical assistance, nutritious meals, mental health support, counselling, and respectful arrangements for funeral services when needed.
